OBJECTIVE
The Rahmatan Lil Alamin Foundation (RLAF), a non-profit organisation dedicated to serving Singapore's Muslim community, embarked on a Digital Transformation project with the goal of promoting cyber wellness among students in local madrasas. This initiative aimed to equip these young learners with essential knowledge and skills for navigating the online world safely and responsibly.
IMPLEMENTATION
Cyber Wellness Ambassador Programme:
RLAF opted for Cyberlite's Cyber Wellness Ambassador Programme, a comprehensive package consisting of lesson slides, classroom activities, and training materials tailored for both primary and secondary students. The programme was designed to educate students on the fundamentals of cyber wellness, fostering a culture of online safety and encouraging them to become peer support leaders within their communities.
Train the Trainer Workshops:
To ensure the effective delivery of the programme, Cyberlite conducted specialised training workshops for RLAF's volunteers and facilitators. These sessions aimed to transfer domain-specific knowledge and skills to the trainers, empowering them to conduct the programme with confidence and efficacy.
Certification of Trainers:
Participants in the Train the Trainer workshops received certification, officially recognising them as certified facilitators. This certification attests to their comprehensive understanding of communicating online safety concepts to young people, ensuring the programme's information is relayed accurately and effectively.
IMPACT
Through this partnership, RLAF successfully implemented the Cyber Wellness Ambassador Programme across local madrasas, significantly enhancing cyber safety and resilience among students. This initiative not only educated the youth on critical aspects of online safety but also empowered them to serve as informed, supportive leaders in their community's digital engagement efforts.
