OBJECTIVE

In a collaborative effort, Palo Alto Networks and Globe partnered to donate Cyberlite's cybersafety workbook, "Ready, Get Set, Connect!," to the Enrique Zobel Foundation in Calatagan Batangas, Philippines. This initiative aimed to enhance cyber safety education in the public schools of the province. Cyberlite was tasked with training local teachers on cyber safety fundamentals and the effective teaching of our curriculum to their students with the support of the Department of Education.

IMPLEMENTATION

Corporate Sponsorship:

Globe, a leading digital solutions platform, and Palo Alto Networks, a global cybersecurity leader, generously provided over 1,000 workbooks to the E. Zobel Foundation. This donation, part of Globe's Digital Thumbprint Program, seeks to bolster students' understanding of digital citizenship and security. Distributed to elementary and high school students within the foundation's network of public schools in Calatagan, Batangas, these workbooks serve as a foundational resource for cyber safety education.


Train the Trainer Workshop:

Cyberlite conducted a "Train the Trainer" workshop for educators in Calatagan, Batangas using our Internet Independent Framework as a foundation. This session was designed to deepen teachers' comprehension of cyber safety and provide them with the tools and knowledge necessary to effectively utilise our workbooks in their teaching.


Content Adaptation:

The workbooks were instrumental in launching a pilot cyber safety week at the E. Zobel Foundation school. The curriculum was adapted by teachers for high school students, focusing on lessons aimed at fostering cyber resilience and awareness among the youth.

This initiative represents a significant stride towards embedding cyber safety within the educational framework of Calatagan, Batangas. Through this partnership, students in the province are better prepared to navigate the complexities of the digital world, armed with knowledge and skills that promote responsible and secure online behaviour.
