Programme Overview
The K-12 Cyber Hygiene and Cybersecurity Programming is a three-year initiative funded by the US Department of State, designed to address critical gaps in online safety education for students aged 7-17 in India, The Philippines, and Fiji. The programme aims to build cyber resilience by equipping educators, schools, and communities with the tools and knowledge to navigate the online world safely.
Why Online Safety Matters:
Today’s students face growing risks online, including cyberbullying, online scams, and exposure to harmful content. Many educators report feeling underprepared to teach online safety effectively, and resources that are comprehensive and practical are scarce. This programme bridges these gaps by offering localised, culturally relevant materials and training opportunities that empower educators and students alike.
Call for Participants
We are currently seeking schools, educators, and civil societies to participate in the programme’s first phase, which includes:
Key Informant Interviews: Help shape the programme by sharing your insights and experiences through interview calls.
Online Landscape Surveys: Contribute to critical research by completing short surveys on local challenges and opportunities.
Localisation Insights: Provide feedback on tailoring materials to best suit your community’s needs.
What will you receive?
As a participant, you will receive:
Free Educational Materials for Your Schools: Gain access to lesson plans, teaching guides, and comprehensive resources on online safety and cyber hygiene to use with your students.
Exclusive Invitations to Train-the-Trainer Workshops: Later in the programme, you’ll have the opportunity to participate in workshops designed to empower educators with the skills to teach cyber safety effectively and sustainably in your country.
Localised and Practical Resources: Receive materials tailored to your community’s needs, ensuring accessibility and relevance for your students.
